Richard Bialosky, AIA has been practicing architecture and actively engaged in real estate development for over 40 years. He graduated from the School of Architecture at UC, Berkeley in 1969 and has received over 60 national, state, and local design awards. Mr. Bialosky is a pioneer in the application of healthy home building materials and protocols. His 1987 personal residence is Santa Barbara, CA stands as an early model of non-toxic sustainable design. Over the course of his career Mr. Bialosky has designed and developed over 1500 residential units, as well as many commercial and office projects.  In 2000, alarmed at the direction the real estate development and construction industry was continuing to take, and frustrated with the notion of fostering change in small incremental steps, Mr. Bialosky left the successful practice he had established in California to devote his energy to Green Community Development. He is currently involved in the development of Mandala Club, Dot Commons, and Sunnyside Up, in Vero Beach. Mandala Club is one of the most unique projects in the country—combining the age-old principles of Vedic architecture; non-toxic, health-promoting construction protocols; environmental sensitivity; energy efficiency; and an emphasis on planning techniques that promote a sense of community. Sunnyside Up is a 350 home Traditional Neighborhood Development with a 35,000 sf town center.
 
Richard Bialosky is currently the chair of the City of Vero Beach Architectural Review Committee and is an active and vocal advocate for furthering the principles of sustainability in Indian River County.
